As Seen On

The Brightest Star that Shines Tonight is a touching story that teaches children how to deal with the painful reality of losing someone they love. In this book, a dad tries to answer his children’s burning question “Why did mom have to go away?” Dad explains that her body was the only thing that went away. Her heart still lives close by in their hearts every day. When the nighttime comes, she is always there shining down from up above and watching over them with love.

A Lesson a Day: A Child’s Way

Appealing to children’s imaginative and playful side, A Lesson a Day: A Child’s Way teaches valuable, everyday lessons through colorful animals and objects working their way through challenges. From a skunk proud of who he is to a fearful duckling taking the plunge, a disobeying bear finding himself lost, and a rude alligator meeting his match, these poems delight and empower children with knowledge and problem-solving skills.

Each story is a fable, embedding a lesson that encourages children (and their narrating adults) to learn, grow, and apply these teachings in their own lives.

“Inspiring young readers and the adults who read along with them.”

Text adapted from Black Château Enterprises, The Book Fest.

I love the stories in A Lesson a Day! My favorite one is the baby bear because he reminds me of me when I get a little lost sometimes. I also liked how the skunk was so proud of himself—he didn’t care what others thought. It made me feel good about being myself. I want to read it again and again!

Parent

A Lesson a Day: A Child’s Way has become our nightly reading ritual. The stories are delightful, and my son can’t get enough of the characters, especially the mischievous alligator who learns the value of kindness. As a parent, I love that each fable leaves him thinking and asking questions. It’s rare to find a children’s book that engages young readers so well and leaves them with lasting messages. Highly recommend for any family looking for meaningful bedtime reading.

A Lesson a Day: A Child’s Way is a beautifully crafted collection of fables that appeal to young minds while teaching values crucial for personal development. Each story is wonderfully written and subtly imbued with life lessons, making it perfect for educators and parents alike. As an educator, I appreciate the book’s ability to spark critical thinking in young readers, empowering them to tackle challenges with resilience and self-confidence. I recommend this book as an excellent addition to any elementary reading curriculum.

Proud Dad

We bought A Lesson a Day for our daughter’s birthday, and it was an instant hit. The poems are so catchy and fun to read aloud, but what I love most are the morals that come with each story. My daughter is already trying to be more like the brave duckling in the story, and it’s so sweet to watch. It’s clear that a lot of heart went into creating this book. We couldn’t be happier with it!

The duck story was my favorite because I’m a little afraid of water, too, but now I feel braver! I also like how each story is short but says a lot. It’s fun to read, and I feel like I learn something new every time.
